Retro Garden Party

A maxi dress with a full-on floral print is so fun for spring. The best part about flowing maxi or midi dresses is that they look so good on all body types. The silhouette elongates the body, and the cinched waist combined with the floor length skirt makes everyone look stylish.

As for a retro garden party – think fun prints where daffodils, peonies and poppies come out to play. I named my blog post this because the dress and sunglasses give my look a retro vibe. The photos were taken in bright sunlight, so the sunbeams and exposed lighting are giving me Woodstock hippie inspiration.
While I love everything vintage, this outfit is more of a fresh take on retro style. We have seen the 90’s sunglasses come back to play, and I don’t think the flowing maxi trend ever left when it arrived in the 70’s. The two make quite the combination and can transform an outfit from a Sunday shopping look to a sartorial statement.
I’ve linked up this entire look, with more dress options below. Now somebody queue the Miranda Priestly .gif!
