Want to know something funny? I shot this camel coat outfit in November. I don’t know why it took me so long to getting around to posting it, but I find it interesting that the outfit is still relevant in late winter/early spring. I am all about the timeless pieces that have multi-seasonal functions. Ever since I started shopping for an aesthetic and minimal style in what I call a “wardrobe revolution” I am able to rotate my wardrobe like nobody’s business. I would 100% wear this outfit again tomorrow as it is still a little chilly in Portland and freezing rain/snow is expected in for forecast!
Camel coats are a wardrobe staple. There are so many shades that camel works well with such as black, nude, white and beige, You can style them from early fall throughout spring. This one is super light weight and is longer than most coats. I like the long fit and the deep pockets. Pink actually goes so well with the fall foliage and autumn aesthetic. It also looks wonderful in winter time, as well as spring when the flowers start to bloom. Obviously pink is great all year round 😉 it’s just such a fun color and I love incorporating it into my style, especially with neutral and warm colors.
I love this patterned midi skirt by Derek Lam 10 Crosby. It adds a lot of pizzazz (I feel like this is an underutilized word) to the outfit, that otherwise would be solid colors. The print is so perfect and the asymmetrical cut is so stunning. I tried to link some similar skirts, as the midi style is so flattering! Just pair your camel coat with your favorite scarf, and boom! Easy outfit.
