What to Wear for Après-Ski in Banff, Alberta

If you are thinking about hitting the slopes this winter then an après-ski sweater is a must! You can wear it to the mountain, and after a long day of skiing (or snow bunny-ing it up in the lodge) you can peel off your parka and POW, you’re the most stylish chick on the mountain.

Apres-ski is such a fun style. Think of Nordic sweaters, Fair Isle patterns, layered triangle prints and turtle necks. I think this unique trend makes you want to book a trip to Aspen or a vacation to the Swiss Alps right away. I know I just came back from a ski trip to Banff in Canada, but reviewing these photos makes me want to hit the slopes all over again.

I actually went to a winter sports boarding school for my Junior year of high school. I was able to snowboard every day during the season. I grew up skiing and have been on family vacations to mountains in Maine and Vermont since I was 2-years-old. Skiing is in my blood, and the mountain (whichever one it may be) always feels like home. Après-ski is such a huge part of the winter sports culture. Dressing the part is equally important as enjoying a drink or warm meal after hitting the slopes!

Staying warm while looking cute is very important to me. I always make sure that I am wearing a layer of long johns or thermal leggings and longsleeves under my clothing to make sure I am extra toasty. I love a cozy, knitted après-ski sweater because it will keep you warm and looking the snow bunny part. Let me know if you have plans for any snowy adventures down the road!
