I Really Love Your Peaches Want To Shake Your Tree

I think the most special time of the year is in September. I’m not just writing that because it is my birth month!  I celebrated my 26th birthday yesterday so I guess it’s time to update my about me section right? Haha! September is a month filled with so many different feelings. The summer is over so we have a different outlook on life, our clothing is getting thicker and darker, our emotions are fueled by back-to-school drop-offs and singing new leases. September is truly a month to start fresh. The intense August heat is now cooling down, and September zephyrs guide us through the peak of fall.

In Washington and Oregon, there seems to be a harvest every season. Be it flower farms, or vegetable farms, the agriculture thrives in this temperate rain forest climate. My husband and I drove to a Mount Hood area called the Fruit Loop, an initiative of local farmers who have pick your own fruits, veggies and flowers. September is a great month for peaches, nectarines and sunflowers. I wanted to wear a bohemian-inspired outfit that personified the colors of a peach.

This burnt orange top is going to be one of my favorites to style this fall/winter. I love the flowy arms, that style always reminds me of Shakespearean fashion. I tucked my blouse in to my favorite pair of high wasited shorts by CMEO Collective. I recently got some compliments on my sandals, which were a summer favorite of mine. They are honestly so comfortable and didn’t give me any blistering! They are from Target and I highly recommend them in brown and black!

My husband and I picked a large bucket of peaches and nectarines. We brought them home to make peach cobbler, yum! Scott is the baker in our household, although I love to help out. We enjoy doing silly stuff like that together. I also love the farm-to-table lifestyle that the PNW has to offer. I can’t wait for the fall harvest – pumpkins, gourds, apples, corn mazes and more! It’s going to be so beautiful and we are already planning our next trip to the Fruit Loop!
