I love the vintage feel of these photos, which were taken by my friend Amy. Although I don’t live in a big, fashionable city, it is so nice to discover new people with similar interests and to make the most out of where you live! I know the majority of my followers don’t live in NYC or Paris, so I hope you see my blog as a way to keep up with fashion while living in a small town. Every week I try to discover something new to do around here, but sometimes just going to the local soap and jam store to get a homemade muscadine slushie is all I need. During my down time I have been running around scouting locations to shoot and hanging out with new friends. I love the ambiance of downtown Fayetteville. The cobblestone, brick and antique feel make the perfect backdrop for this relaxed outfit.
As Leandra Medine would call them, these are my favorite man-repelling pants – which at this point in my life, I want to repel as many men as possible. These Zara pepto-pink trousers are everything a pant can dream of! They are fitted, slouchy, and structured in all the right places. Keeping the color palette neutral, I paired my pants with an oversized, light pink top and some Balenciaga statement shoes. I’m a firm believer that tucking or cuffing can make or break an outfit. A tucked in shirt or rolled up pant legs can add emphasis on certain pieces in your outfit. In this instance, the beautiful detailing and pleats of my pants and my crazy shoes are in center focus.
*By the way, I’m aware that my toe nail polish is bright blue and doesn’t match my outfit, but that’s what happens when you get pedicures with your boyfriend and let him pick a color for you. Never again.
