60’s Style: Paisley Flare Pants & Band T’s

Do you ever just want to wear some paisley flare pants and dress like a 1960’s rock and roll muse? Cool, me too. I absolutely love music from the 60’s and 70’s so it’s natural for me to want to dress the part too. One lyric I’m loving right now is:
One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you, don’t do anything at all.
Go ask Alice, when she’s ten feet tall.

There is a really amazing T-shirt brand that sells exclusive band T’s. From Led Zeppelin, to The Doors, to The Rolling Stones, and Jefferson Airplane; there is no lack in taste of music from this company! Although there are bands that I like better than Jefferson Airplane, I was really drawn to the colors of this shirt and the pretty eye detail. It looks like cover art for an album!
I styled my band t-shirt with a pair of high waisted paisley flare pants. Oddly enough, flare pants are making a huge comeback. I remember wearing bell bottoms as a teenager. It’s crazy to think how many times a style will come back into play. 3rd time’s a charm, eh? For the sake of pink I styled this look with my favorite accessory, my Lack of Color pink hat. Also to make this more of a summer-fall transition look I wore my pastel duster.
This shoot location was absolutely amazing! I know it’s just a little silly to show up to a flower farm in the country wearing platform booties, but hey – it makes for an amazing photo shoot. The sunset lighting was perfect and it catches the sunflowers, illuminating them from behind.
