Blushing Brides at Studio 215

Last weekend I put my modeling skills to the test for my fabulous group of talented friends. The photo shoot was to showcase a new venue here in Fayetteville, North Carolina featuring 6 blushing brides. Although I have done relatively no planning for my own wedding if there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that I want a dreamy dress from my friend Candice’s store Blush Bridal. This photo shoot looks straight out of a Pinterest board for bridal inspiration! The amazing photographer Caroline Lima, who is available to shoot on location, has been featured in The Knot, Style Me Pretty and many other bridal publications. The beautiful braids, hair and makeup were done by local artist Jessi Ibrahim. All brides were styled head-to-toe by Candice Richardson at Blush Bridal. The chalk mural above was created by local artist Tiffany Parsons with Swirls and Smocks.
The most special thing about this photo shoot is the venue – Studio 2015. This warehouse-turned-special event venue has a whole lot of charm and as I like to call it “industrial-chic.” Located in historic downtown Fayetteville, this event venue is open for booking for all types of events such as military balls, weddings, work events, etc. I sat down with the owner, and my good friend, Mary Jane Jones to discuss all of the exciting things she has planned for the space! Mary Jane has had a successful career as a wedding planner, so she knows exactly what brides want. After selling her wedding planning business, Studio 215 became her next project. Below you can read a Q&A about her exciting endeavors and scroll through the beautiful bridal pictures!
Q: Tell me a little about Studio 215.
A: Studio 215 is a unique event space in downtown Fayetteville with over 6,000 square feet. It boasts high ceilings, exposed brick walls, a spiral staircase, full kitchen, 2 mezzanines, bridal suite, groom’s room, and much more.
Q: What types of events will you be hosting?
A: Anything from military balls to weddings, showers, corporate Christmas parties, non-profit fundraisers, hail and farewells, dance recitals, etc!
Q: Can this space also be used for studio photography?
A: Absolutely!
Q: What is the history of the building?
A: It was built in 1937 as M & O Chevrolet, Fayetteville’s first auto dealership, and later turned into an auto garage. It sat vacant for many years. In 2008 some family friends of ours decided to undergo a major renovation and turned it into an office building, Moore Exposure. In late 2015 Hollis and I decided to breathe new life into the building and turn it into an event space.
Q: How would you describe the ambiance of the space?
A: Modern. Industrial. Chic. A very “LA” vibe!
Q: Any exciting renovations?
A: We will be adding on a private patio with corrugated metal, pergola, and bistro lights in February.
Q: What types of things are provided for events? (chairs, tables, décor, etc)
A: 275 mahogany chiavari chairs with white padded cushions, 5′ round tables, 8′ banquet tables, bistro or “cafe” lights, black and/or white floor length linens, yard games, and much more!
Q: Describe the mural and the chalk artist.
A: Swirls and Smocks is a veteran, female owned and operated business here in Fayetteville. Tiffany Parsons is an extremely talented artist known for her chalk board art, photography, and graphic design (among other things!). I gave her a little snippet of what I had in mind for the giant chalk board wall…. and she went with it! She definitely exceeded my expectations! I love having a giant chalk board wall in an event space because clients can customize and make it their own. Whether its a huge seating chart, menu, monogram, or a kids zone you can really have fun with it!
Q: What are your liquor and animal policies?
A: We allow you to bring in your own alcohol which we know clients will love and of course will save them a lot of money. We are huge animal lovers! If you’d like to bring your cat or dog in for your wedding ceremony or event we say go for it! Animals are a big part of our family so we completely know how you feel wanting them to be a part of your big day. 🙂
Q: What is your vision for Studio 215? What do you want the final product to look like?
A: Our initial vision for Studio 215 was to bring a modern, urban, unique event space to downtown Fayetteville. There is nothing else like it! I hope to continue the design process forever, constantly evolving and making it better.
Q: What is the best part about Studio 215’s location?
It’s downtown! After your event is over you can continue the party at other local hot spots.
Q: Do you have any exciting events already booked?
A: We are excited for our upcoming weddings, photo shoots, the Cumberland County Law Gala, non-profit luncheons, a fashion show, and even a high tea.
Q: How can someone contact you for booking the space?
