This is my take on a monochrome look and not to toot my own horn, but I think it came out pretty well! My mom got me this cashmere sweater with the uneven hem for Christmas. It’s extremely soft and it got me wondering where this luxurious material comes from. Fun fact: cashmere comes from different types of goats and is not wool like a sheep, but actually hair! The material is incredibly warm and its insulation is approximately three times that of sheep wool (Read more about Cashmere on Wikepedia). I’m very interested in different types of materials and how they play off each other and compliment each other. My soft sweater in black and grey, my Spanx liquid jeans that are currently sold out, my new leather Deisel booties topped off with a tweed white jacket and multi-colored blanket scarf all paired well together without looking overdone or just plain tacky. The icy trees were the perfect backdrop for this look and I was more than excited for North Carolina’s inch of snow. I spent the day outside with my fiance taking pictures of all the frozen trees and plants and throwing snowballs at my puppy. The next morning as the sun was melting the ice, the trees sparkled like diamonds. Today it’s about 60 degrees so everything has already melted. I love snow and winter scenery so even if it snows once an entire year I think that’s enough to fill my heart with joy! Although I’d prefer 3 feet and a few snow days, I’ll take what I can get.
