One of my favorite summer staples is a good pair of white culottes. From skinny jeans, to cut off shorts, to wide leg culottes; a white pair of denim in the summer is perfect for any outfit. I styled these H&M white culottes (only $29 – similar here, here, here) with my favorite Keepsake crop top. This entire outfit is a mix of high and low fashion. My bag was $1,400 and my shoes were $5. I even got my Valentino sunglasses over 70% off. You can always wear designer items, but you don’t always have to pay designer prices, am I right?
I love mixing high and low fashion because it proves that you can really style anything. I’ve always wanted to do an “Under $50 Outfit Challenge” and run around Goodwill, Salvation Army, JC Penny and TJ Maxx to see if it’s possible to style an entire outfit on a budget. And not just any outfit – an outfit that looks like it’s NYFW ready. Do you think it’s possible?
I am planning on starting a YouTube channel this week, so that might be one of the videos I come up with. You can subscribe to my channel here! I want my channel to be fun, inspirational and educating. I am a huge lover of high fashion, but I fully recognize that not everyone (including myself, haha) can afford to dabble in luxury goods all of the time. I think it would be a fun challenge to show people that fashion isn’t about the name brand labels, it’s about self-expression and having fun.
