Ruffle Blouse, Leather Skirt and a Life Update

So far 2017 has been a whirlwind! I have said goodbye to my husband who deployed to Iraq, I started a new job, which is an amazing career move, and I am currently at home sick from work with step throat! Seriously?! I thought this infection died out in 2007… Anyways I am doing just fine, just tired and pissed – sounds about normal? Oh and my tonsils are flared up like two male elephant seals fighting for the patriarchy on a hot summer day. Yeah that may be TMI.

This weekend I was able to shoot one of my favorite looks to date – this super cute ruffle top, a faux leather mini skirt and some quintessential winter booties. The weather has been really forgiving here in North Carolina, it’s ranging from 45-60 degrees on any given day. Bare legs for this shoot were no issue. I contemplated styling tights with this look, but they were not needed. If I had some of these polka dot tights I would have totally rocked them! Either way, this outfit is chic and easy. I love that you can style the blouse with a skirt or pants, with tights or without. It’s such a versatile piece for being so unique.
