Itโs close to midnight and something evilโs lurking in the darkโฆ
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart..
Is it really Halloween if you donโt sing some Thriller lyrics at least once? That was a rhetorical question, haha! Nonetheless, it is the season of spooks and sprites! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love dressing up and seeing everyoneโs costumes. In the recent years Iโve diverged from the sexy costumes (ex. Babe Lincoln) and Iโve dived into the gory Halloween costumes. Itโs always fun to dress up to look gorgeous, but I find more fun in looking like a ghoul from the grave! After all, itโs not every day of the year that you can paint your eyes dark and splatter your face with fake blood. Halloween is truly a special time of year.

For this post I teamed up with makeup artist Chelsea, owner of
Beauty Mark Boutique. She is a special effects makeup artist and I would consider this one of her more mild looks. She has an incredible talent that, quite frankly, terrifies me. Chelsea can turn an average Joe into looking like a Texas Chain Saw Massacre victim. Although she told me she prefers the gory makeup looks, she can also turn you into a unicorn or mermaid. She sells her own makeup palettes and brushes, and you can
shop them here. Chelsea was so kind to give me a palette and a few brushes, so stay tuned on Instagram for that post! I knew I had to work with
photographer Mathew Wonderly for this insanely creepy shoot. Iโd describe his photography style as macabre, although he can turn it way down as he has shot many outfits for my blog. I love well-rounded, talented artists who can just do anything in their trade. Thatโs how you know they truly have something special!
Enjoy these creep-tastic (I think I just made up a word and I honestly donโt know how I feel about itโฆ ) pictures and tell me in the comments below, what are you dressing up as for Halloween?!
