Each and every season calls for different beauty products. Just like summer has sunscreen and heat protection, winter has an beauty entire routine of its own. With the cold and harsh winter chill, your hair and skin need products that they can rely on. From darker shades of makeup, to strengthening your skin and hair through hydrating formulas – I’m spilling my makeup bag and sharing all of my favorite winter beauty products for you to see. Take a peak below! I’ve linked each and every product for you to shop directly.
Aveda – Eye Definer
With colors like sparkling champagne and matte, jet black these eye pencils are a must-have in your makeup bag. I like to line my lower eye with the Gypsum Gold pencil to give my eye a shimmery look, after all winter is all about sparkling like the snow and holidays! I like to use the jet black on my eye lid on the top of my lash line, creating a smooth and defined cat-eye.
Aveda – Lip Definer
A lip liner that works wonders! With a sultry color that is perfect for the winter climate, this lip liner was made to moisturize your lips while really making them pop. This formula keeps your lipstick on your lips and not running onto your skin! When used with Aveda’s gorgeous lipstick colors, there is no beating that combo.
Aveda – Smoothing Lip Color
Aveda – Rosemary Mint Body Polish
This subtle yet refreshing exfoliater is my new obsession. I love its soothing aromas and the fact that the scrub itself is refreshing. Wash all your dry and dead winter skin down the drain and step out of the shower feeling soft and smooth, but really like you’ve stepped out of a 5-star spa! Instead of a harsh sugar or salt scrub, the naturally derived walnut shells offer a gentle alternative to relieve your skin of impurities.
Aveda – Rosemary Mint Oil
The spices of rosemary and mint are a match made in heaven, how has this not been a thing before?! Leave it to Aveda (the art and science of pure flower and plant essences is their tag line) to conjure up this magical oil. I love to apply this product after a nice, warm shower. I always apply oils at night because they take longer for my skin to absorb, and when I wake up the next morning my face is flush and flawless! I also use the oil when I’m not feeling my best. Mint is an essential oil that has many healing purposes for issues such as headaches and stress. If you are an oil lover, you need this product in your potions collection!
Clinique – Moisturizing Cream
When I say my skin literally drinks this cream up, I promise I’m not exaggerating. When I apply this product after a shower, it’s like that feeling when you’re incredibly thirsty, your mouth is dry and you finally get that sip of an invigorating, ice-cold drink. Quench your skin’s thirst with this Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream. Clinique has been in the game for over 50 years, so it’s no doubt they have perfected their formulas during their journey. I highly recommend this product for people with dry/fair skin, it is on the top of my list of favorite winter beauty products!
Inglot – Matte Lipstick
This is the perfect color to give your lips a matte, nude look. I really think that color has been so popular lately! Check out this lipstick for an opaque, sexy look on your lips. The formula is very thick and dense so it truly gives your lips a matte finish. Although I’m really digging the nude trend, I’d love to try this product in other shades as well, and trust me – there’s so many of them!!
theBalm – Meet Matt(e) Hughes
The most perfect creamy lip stain meets hours of wear time to create the perfect product! This has to be one of my top three items on this review. I have been addicted to this color and I’ve been using it so much during my fall and winter shoots. This color gives your lips a matte finish with a dark berry look. The application is so easy and a little goes a long way! I think a dark lip compliments lighter, winter skin so try something new this season and get yourself a darker lip shade to really make them contrast.
theBalm – Stainiac
This is the most effortless beauty product. It makes being pretty so easy! I love this lip stain because it gives your lips a natural, rosy look. You can also layer it on for a darker look. This formula does not smudge and it stays on for hours! This is one of my all-time favorite winter beauty products because it keeps my lips moisturized while giving them a little hint of color. The secret ingredient is aloe! Also, you can use it as a blush to stain your cheeks
Bumble and bumble – Brilliantine
I love this hair product because it’s so simple. Anytime, any place, just run a nickle-sized squirt into your hair and it will look like a hairdresser jumped out of your purse and gave you a makeover! Whether you have curls, straight hair or are working on a braid, this product is perfect for prepping or completing the finishing touch. This product is also amazing because the bottle is a small size, the best secret weapon for an evening out or travel!
Aveda – Thickening Tonic
This product is like volume in a bottle. With just a few spritzes to your mane, your hair will look fuller and more luscious. For me, it gives me that sexy bed-head look while still maintains frizz and stray hairs. Such a luxurious product!
R + Co – High Dive
This is one of my all-time favorite products. I found out about this brand at NYFW and I wish I had known about them sooner. This is the ultimate cool-girl hair care brand and I can say with all honestly that their products ACTUALLY WORK! Don’t you hate when you buy a product that makes so many promises, but never meet your expectations? This R + Co High Dive cream will make your hair, sleeker, sexier and softer. The four golden S’s, am I right? You can use it on wet or dry hair, and it won’t make it greasy. Also it smells like heaven. Winter’s cold can make your hair brittle and flat, so breathe some life into it with this moisturizing hair cream.
Burberry – Fall/Winter 2016 Runway Palette
I adore this palette because it will give you the perfect smokey eye! The Burberry eye shadow formula is so luxurious, it makes your eyes feel so sleek and sexy. My palette also came with these adorable little applicator brushes. I use the nude shade to fill in my entire eye lid and eye brow bone, then I take the black and fill in the crease of my eyelid. I apply the green to 3/4 of my eyelid, blending it towards the outer point of my eye. Just a little blending and you’ve got yourself the perfect beauty look for any winter event! I am normally not a dark-eyed makeup girl, but lately I’ve been taking so many risks and trying new styles. This palette is perfect for experimenting and experts alike!

January 23, 2017Such great products! I am so bad at beauty stuff so I always need recs! How do you like the body polish on a daily basis? I think my sensitive skin will get irritated if I exfoliate too much.
