La Vie En Rose is not just a famous song, it is a way of life. Pink has always been my favorite color. I wanted to style a pastel pink monochrome outfit because I think that these warm pastel colors look so good together. For this look I was inspired by Blair of Atlantic Pacific. She is the color blocking and monochrome queen. I love how she picks a color and styles it head-to-toe (I know my boots and leggings aren’t pink, but imagine this look with pink slacks and pink pumps). It is so easy to style a pastel monochrome outfit, especially when the color you are centering around is your favorite.

Someone once told me that Vancouver, Washington has the most coffee shops per capita. I don’t doubt it considering this city is just north of Portland, Oregon and is also in the home state of Starbucks. Washington living is never short of coffee. While I’m not a huge coffee drinker, I do indulge every once in a while. I like the flavor and the warm feeling in my belly. I also love iced coffee and am that person that orders some in the winter – anyone with me?
My photographer and I found the cutest little cafe in Vancouver to shoot at. It’s called Boomerang and I love its charm. It has a bar, delicious food and coffee for lounging around or on the go. My pastel pink monochrome outfit matched the exposed brick pretty well! I just love this pompom hat (similar here) and teddy bear coat (similar here). My long turtleneck comes in a few colors and has been my go-to outfit with leggings since November! Tell me about the coffee shop scene where you live – they are the cutest places to take photos as a blogger, and with the constant PNW rain they make a good escape from bad weather!

February 25, 2019Hi, I just discovered your blog and I like your style.
Please, be careful of an all too common mistake in writing: don’t confuse it’s and its. When referring to the café, it should read ‘its charm’. I’m French and English is my second language, but I’m amazed how many American bloggers make that mistake.
Right, my vocabulary rant is over, delighted to find you and looking forward to discover more.
