How to Dress Casual Chic

In this post I’m going to guide you through how to dress casual chic. It’s honestly so, so easy and effortless – I’m sure you won’t have a problem keeping up. I teamed up with Banana Republic to showcase some summer styles that have a casual, laid back vibe, while looking chic and tasteful. The key concept is:
Don’t Overthink It.

If you think about it, my entire outfit is made up of two pieces: my knit dress and black loafers. I love dresses because you pretty much have an entire look with one item. This dress is perfect for summer because it’s so lightweight. I like the details in the knitting and the cut of the hem. The sophisticated style of Banana Republic makes the casual chic look so easy. I absolutely love these loafers and can’t wait to style them throughout the fall and winter. Everyone needs one pair of chic loafers, and these ones are perfect!

I styled this look with minimal accessories. My circle black bag is a wardrobe staple of mine. I’ll admit – it doesn’t fit a n y t h i n g inside of it, but hey it’s super cute! I love that you can remove the strap and just hold it by the ring. My Marc Jacobs watch adds a little bit of modernity and tech into my look. It’s a hybrid watch so I can get notifications from my phone and alarms directly on my wrist. Not to mention, it looks incredibly cool.
So keep it simply, sweetie! That’s all it takes. Try to style classic, timeless pieces that are solid colors together. Always consider if something you are buying will last season to season. Styles like this Banana Republic dress and shoes will always be a go-to outfit of mine. Hey we all want to look cute while grocery shopping, but we don’t awlays want to put in the effort!
