Banana Republic Bow Blouse and Flounce Skirt

The classic button down and a flirty skirt – in this post these two wardrobe staples are brought to life, with a little flare of course. Add a bow and some flounce and you have these perfect pieces by Banana Republic. Seriously, this brand can do no wrong in my eyes. I can wear this blouse to work and furthermore, it is even chic enough to wear to an event like New York Fashion Week. It surely is a head-turner for being such a simple piece. That’s the magic of the bow accent! One of my favorite new trends is the bow blouse. This summer we have seen crisscross laces, bandanas and chokers. I predict that the trends of playing up the neck area will continue to be a huge this fall. What better way to do so than with a pretty little bow around your neck?!

Another cute style to try this fall is the flounce skirt. It’s still warm so I’m rocking bare legs, but come fall I will style this skirt with a pair of thick tights. One of my favorite things about this skirt is, well, its flounce! It’s a fun skirt to shake and move in, making it the perfect skirt to go dancing in. The skirt brings work-to-play to a whole different level. In this look I feel like I am channeling Bridget Bardot in a classic French style.
