A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have my best friend Emily visit me from across the U.S. to celebrate our 18th Friendaversary. I live in Washington and she lives in Massachusetts. That is nearly 3,000 thousand miles keeping us apart, but nothing a red eye can’t fix! During her visit to the Pacific Northwest we went chasing waterfalls, hiking mountains, driving on the beach, and finished off the trip with a visit to beautiful fields of tulips. In honor of celebration, Emily and I had custom labels created by the Chloe Wine Collection for our Pinot Grigio and Prosecco bottles. Check out their
custom labeling experience here custom labeling experience here – it’s free and super simple to do, and creates such an elegant touch to any occasion. The brand has delicious wines with light, spring varietals, and I really love the classic and minimal aesthetic of the bottles. Chloe wines are my go-to choice for celebrating all things extraordinary, elegant and timeless. Named after the ancient word “blooming,” Chloe is known for its beautiful aromas and luxurious flavors, creating a rich experience with every sip. That is why the tulip fields make the perfect location for celebrating our 18th friendiversary! Blooming tulips, lots of smiles, and a little bubbly to top it off.
Hello retro garden party! A maxi dress with a full-on floral print is so fun for spring. The best part about flowing maxi or midi dresses is that they look so good on all body types. The silhouette elongates the body, and the cinched waist combined with the floor length skirt makes everyone look stylish.

In fact, when I took these photos in North Carolina the next few weeks were bitterly cold. Now that I am located in Washington I feel like it’s winter part II. That hasn’t stopped me from thinking all things spring. And just because it doesn’t feel like spring, doesn’t mean it isn’t so let’s embrace is whether it’s 70 or 55 degrees! In this post I am sharing 10 tips to embrace spring to truly get you in the seasonal spirit. I hope they help make your spring brighter.
1. Plant a flower/tree or buy one to leave on your front step
There is nothing that will freshen up your life like some fresh blooms. Even if the grass and trees haven’t caught on that it’s spring, a little pop of color in your front yard or on your front doorstep will brighten up your day. After all, the world laughs in flowers!
The back detail trend is so fun. As they say business in the front – party in the back! I love this white shirt because in the front it looks like a classic button down, but once I turn around it has a beautiful crisscross detail.
