The Woodlark Hotel In Portland, Oregon

When you think of the words “boutique hotel” what comes to mind? Is it the charming atmosphere, the friendly staff, or the unique interiors? The Woodlark Hotel has all of the above and more. Every boutique hotel has its quirks, and my favorite characteristics of the Woodlark are the adorable cafe in the lobby, the leaf and plant wall paper, and the modern bathrooms – complete with gold hardware.

I had such an amazing stay at the Woodlark Hotel! This boutique hotel is nestled in the heart of Portland, OR. The location is unbeatable – I was able to go to my favorite restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The decor is modern and lush. I love how the hotel incorporates plants and flowers into its atmosphere. The Woodlark is such a relaxing and calming escape from a day roaming the city – just what any hotel should be!
In addition to the cafe in the lobby there is a restaurant and a little speakeasy bar. The bar is called Abigail Hall and the space was originally a ladies reception hall in the 1910’s. The decor is both strong and feminine; featuring floral wall paper, pastel colored stools and extravagant lounging couches. The restaurant, Bullard, is open for breakfast, brunch. lunch and dinner, with an extensive and impressive bar. I liked that the mood of the restaurant was relaxed yet upscale. It’s the perfect escape for diners that don’t want to leave the hotel, or for people looking for a lowkey lounge to dine in.
After walking around Portland all day and stopping at my favorite restaurants, I was so excited to dive into my bed with comfortable white sheets and plethora of pillows! I felt like I was sleeping in a cloud. My hotel room was cute and cozy, and even though my stay way short it felt like a home away from home. Next time you are visiting Portland, Oregon I highly suggest this gem of a hotel.
