Baby put on heart-shaped sunglasses cause we gonna take a ride, whispers Lana Del Rey in her song Diet Mountain Dew. I was totally feeling all of the old-school Hollywood glam feels while participating in this shoot for Hotel deLuxe in Portland, Oregon.
The hotel is incredibly chic, and it reminds me of a boutique hotel that should exist in Manhattan. The name says it all, Hotel deLuxe is incredibly luxe. From the moment you step inside you are greeted by giant chandeliers. There is a giant screen playing rolls of old Hollywood classics with a room filled with fancy furniture. I also appreciated the warm welcomes by staff members and concierge. I even got to pose in a vintage Rolls Royce for the photo shoot, I mean how much more classy can I get??
While I didn’t stay overnight at the hotel, I can definitely say from the rooms that I saw it is quite the chic hotel. The location is great too – you aren’t directly in the hustle and bustle of Portland, but everything is in walking distance. My favorite part of the hotel was the lobby – there is something so magical and luxurious about it! I could hang out there all day! Some other features of the hotel that I love are the 1950’s intimate bar called The Driftwood Room and the giant dining room restaurant called Gracie’s. With a grand piano, tall filigree ceilings and delicious food; Gracie’s is a show-stopper of a restaurant that adds to the old-school Hollywood feel of the hotel’s ambiance.
The penthouse suite reminds me of something out of the TV show Mad Med. It is a huge room filled with pastel yellow furniture, and it has an amazing view of Portland. I highly recommend staying at the Hotel deLuxe if you are looking for a bougie stay in the Portland area. I have worked with the Provenance Hotels collection before, and I can honestly say they have the nicest hotels in Portland. Check out my review of their Woodlark Hotel location here. With so many chic hotels to choose from, there are atmospheres that will fit any mood!
