An Evening at The Pierre Hotel

At the height of opulence stands The Pierre. Complete and utter lavishness is what one can expect from this historic hotel on the famous 5th Avenue, which is just a stone's throw away from Bergdorf Goodman. The Pierre has been open since the 1930's, and while its main function is a hotel it is also a residence to elite New Yorkers such as Tory Burch. During my trip to New York Fashion Week I had the opportunity to...

New York Fashion Week Part 2: Shows, Parties and More!

This NYFW was a major success to say the least. I attended 25 shows, partied at multiple events, got lots of freebies, and finally met my awesome Style Collective girls in real life! This was my first time at New York Fashion Week as an influencer/blogger and not as media. I did bring my camera to a few shows because I can't shake that photographer in me, after all that's how I got my start at fashion...

How To Style A Sequin Skirt: Charleston Edition

It's not hard to match your outfit to the pops of color on Rainbow Row in Charleston, SC. In fact, I believe every building or home in Charleston makes up at least one shade on the ROY G. BIV spectrum. Inspired by this colorful city, I planned one of my most vibrant outfits to date, which was a melange of a sequin skirt, pastels, and bold colors. When I first saw my new favorite wardrobe item,...

Ski Trip to Utah

Monday: My first few days in Utah have been epic. I went snowmobiling, snowboarding, saw wild deer, and drove around the gorgeous mountains of the Wasatch Valley. On Monday morning my family and I went on a snowmobiling trip and rode around for hours plowing through nearly a foot of snow. I was really enjoying myself until I flipped my snowmobile completely over. Luckily my fiancé is very strong and lifted it up without breaking a sweat!...

Wild West

The American Frontier is home to a rich history of cowboys, horses, gold mining, saloons and showdowns. This history came to life in my recent photo shoot in Heber City, Utah where there is a replica city built that looks exactly like a small town in the wild west. All of these rustic buildings are fully-functional shops ranging from antique stores, to fine dining, to a pet washing store. In my case I used this area to...

Blushing Brides at Studio 215

Last weekend I put my modeling skills to the test for my fabulous group of talented friends. The photo shoot was to showcase a new venue here in Fayetteville, North Carolina featuring 6 blushing brides. Although I have done relatively no planning for my own wedding if there's one thing I know for sure it's that I want a dreamy dress from my friend Candice's store Blush Bridal. This photo shoot looks straight out of a Pinterest board for bridal...

Remembering My Time in Paris

It's been two years since I lived in Paris.  I wanted to share photos because I've been feeling awfully nostalgic lately. From Paris Fashion Week to my host Françoise's homemade palmiers, my heart is filled with love and a sincere yearning to go back. There are still so many things to see and do in Paris, I can't wait until the time is right so I can go back to that wonderful city. Some monumental things happened...

Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina

Harper Creek Falls, North Carolina Since before I could walk, my family would take me camping in the mountains of Vermont. I grew up with a very outdoorsy attitude, one that still risides with me today. For the 4th of July, my boyfriend Scott and I decided to go on a real adventure. It was not your average 4th of July party. There were no solo cups, watermelons or american flags made from Jell-o and Cool...

Georgia’s Cotton Fields and Mountain Ranges

It’s been six months since I have moved. Although North Carolina isn't the most glamorous of places for a fashion blogger to live, given my circumstantial situation, I’m making the most out of it. The South is a lot different than where I’m from. The accents are different, the landscape is different and the food is different (no fresh lobster?!?!). Instead of med school student neighbors, I live across the street from a farm. I’m...

Central Park in New York City

Thursday in the Park I’m going to try and keep a New York Fashion Week diary and keep y’all updated with what I’m doing, where I’m eating and sights I’m seeing. Yesterday I arrived and it was an EXHAUSTING day. My flight left at 6am and my day ended at 3am. I went to a Tumblr NYFW event and saw my favorite Tumblrers (lol I think I just made that word up) thestylingbook, kmitt, ryan etc....

Utah – Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Arches National Parks

Island in the Sky: Canyonlands My first glimpse of this epic canyon was from the visitors center with a parking lot full of foreign tourists. Across the street was the edge of the Canyonlands, a barren wasteland full of millions of years of erosion and insane rock formations. When I walked to the edge of the cliff and looked down I saw this rinky-dink road that winded all the way down the canyons and trailed off...

Switzerland: Geneva and Montreux

After a crazy Halloween in Barcelona, my friends and I traveled to the scenic country Switzerland. The relaxing scenery was just what I needed after 4 crazy nights in the infamous city of partying. After a week off from speaking French, it felt nice to start speaking it again. I like the way Swiss people speak french; they are so peppy. Geneva is a beautiful city filled with lots to see. My favorite part about the city...
