Whimsical, pastel & floral – did you expect anything less from me? For being the least girly-girl person I know, for some reason I am so attracted to all things ethereal.
I love fantasies, romance and made-up stories, but I rarely wear makeup. When I eat I get food all over my face (I really can’t help it!!!) and I probably have a unibrow going on due to lack of waxing/plucking, but you can’t see it because it’s blonde, HAH! I do enjoy getting pretty for a photo shoot, but it is not my normal routine to get up and put makeup on. I am working on becoming more of a girly-girl, but I love that in today’s society the words feminine and womanly have many different meanings and definitions.
Enough about my vanity’s vices! I want to talk about this gorgeous dress I recently bought from Storets. I recently wore this dress to my friend’s wedding and I couldn’t help but take pictures in it. Little flower cut-outs and the pastel pink colors, I mean come on! Obviously I love this dress! Pink has seriously been taking over my wardrobe this spring. Storets is a Korean brand and it carries all things girly and trendy. It is the perfect place to shop for an off-the-shoulder top or a unique summer dress. I chose this little pink number, which also comes in white. I also bought another off-the-shoulder top and I can’t wait to shoot it next week! Get ready for even more romantic vibes 😛
I couldn’t help but bring my Alice in Wonderland book with me for this shoot. The book fit the fantasy-themed shoot perfectly and at one point I was totally channeling Alice reading her book before she falls down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. Now I have a similar book for Edgar Allen Poe, but I will probably have to save that for a different photo shoot LOL! (I feel like this post is showing the many sides of Taylor haha!). Since I love all things make-believe and fantastical, I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes from this book:
“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?” ― Lewis Carroll,
