The Hotel deLuxe in Portland, Oregon

The hotel is incredibly chic, and it reminds me of a boutique hotel that should exist in Manhattan. The name says it all, Hotel deLuxe is incredibly luxe. From the moment you step inside you are greeted by giant chandeliers, a screen playing rolls of old Hollywood classics, fancy furniture and a lot of welcomes by staff members. I even got to pose in a vintage Rolls Royce for the photo shoot, I mean how much more classy can I get??

While I didn’t stay overnight at the hotel, I can definitely say from the rooms that I saw it is quite the chic hotel. The location is great too – you aren’t directly in the hustle and bustle of Portland, but everything is in walking distance. My favorite part of the hotel was the lobby – there is something so magical and luxurious about it! I could hang out there all day! Some other features of the hotel that I love are the intimate bar called Driftwood Room and the giant dining room restaurant called Gracie’s. With a piano, tall filigree beams and delicious food, Gracie’s is a show-stopper of a restaurant and adds to the old-school Hollywood feel of the hotel’s ambiance.

The Woodlark Hotel In Portland, Oregon

Posted on

When you think of the words “boutique hotel” what comes to mind? Is it the charming atmosphere, the friendly staff, or the unique interiors? The Woodlark Hotel has all of the above and more. Every boutique hotel has its quirks, and my favorite characteristics of the Woodlark are the adorable cafe in the lobby, the leaf and plant wall paper, and the modern bathrooms – complete with gold hardware.

I had such an amazing stay at the Woodlark Hotel! This boutique hotel is nestled in the heart of Portland, OR. The location is unbeatable – I was able to go to my favorite restaurants and shops all within walking distance.  The decor is modern and lush. I love how the hotel incorporates plants and flowers into its atmosphere. The Woodlark is such a relaxing and calming escape from a day roaming the city – just what any hotel should be!

A Very Boston Christmas: Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel

Although it may be cold, Boston during the Christmas season is one of the best times of year to visit. During my trip to my hometown I stayed at the Nine Zero Kimpton Hotel, which overlooks the Boston Common. The view of the Prudential Center and John Hancock tower overlooking the Christmas lights in the Common is beautiful. You can even see the Charles River and Cambridge in the distance! Seeing Boston all lit up with Christmas lights really brought some holiday cheer into my life!

This is hotel nestled in the BEST and busiest location in Boston. The boutique hotel has an old-timey charm, just like the city of Boston itself. One of my favorite things about this hotel is the eclectic artwork. The French Bulldog painting that was in my room reminded me of my college mascot, Rhett the Boston Terrier of Boston University. The interior design of this boutique hotel is very charming, and the attention is in the details such as textures and colors.
